Plasterboard

Plasterboard, also known as drywall or gypsum board, is a versatile and widely used building material in modern construction. Made from gypsum plaster pressed between two thick sheets of paper, it is lightweight, easy to install, and provides a smooth, ready-to-finish surface for walls and ceilings.

We keep in stock plasterboard for every situation whether it be a standard board for a ceiling to a more specialist board valued for its fire resistance, sound insulation or moisture resistance properties , and ability to create seamless, durable surfaces quickly and efficiently. Ideal for both residential and commercial projects, it supports various finishes, including plaster, paint, wallpaper, and tiles, making it an essential component in contemporary building practices.

We keep both full size and also handy size sheets in stock from leading manufacturer Knauf as well as insulated plasterboard from Knauf, Kingspan and Xtratherm

Insulation

Insulation is a critical component in modern construction, designed to enhance energy efficiency, comfort, and sustainability within buildings as well as acoustic properties. By reducing the transfer of heat or sound, insulation helps maintain consistent indoor temperatures, leading to lower energy consumption and reduced utility bills.

It is available in various materials, including PIR, EPS, Rock or Glass each offering distinct benefits for different applications. Proper insulation not only contributes to a building’s thermal performance but also provides soundproofing and moisture control, creating healthier and quieter indoor environments. Essential for both residential and commercial projects, high-quality insulation is key to achieving long-term energy savings and environmental stewardship.

At Jersey Building Supplies we work with the leading brands to cater for all budgets and projects. These include Kingspan, Rockwool, Recticel, Knauf, BEWI/Jablite and more

Blocks & Lintels

Blocks and lintels are fundamental elements in construction, providing structural integrity and support to buildings. Our concrete blocks and bricks are produced locally in Jersey and are used, form the primary load-bearing walls and partitions, offering durability, thermal mass, and fire resistance. Lintels, on the other hand, are horizontal supports placed above doorways and windows to bear the load of the structure above, preventing sagging or collapse.

We keep a large range of concrete lintels in various sizes and lengths in stock at our yard and able for collection or delivery.

Sand Cement & Aggregates

Holding everything together is the sand cement and aggregates. We keep building and plastering sand in stock in both bulk and smaller bags. In stock is also bulk or smaller bags of granite chippings and granite dust which is locally produced. For a finishing touch to your driveway we have kiln dried sand in stock.

To hold it altogether we have teamed up with Rugby and keep both grey and white cement in stock at all times as well as hydrated lime. Rugby cement has a proven track record of strength and durability.

Drainage

No build or project is complete without adequate drainage solutions whether it be above or below ground. In stock we keep a full assortment of above and below ground drainage from Polypipe. We also keep in stock rainwater/soakaway crates allowing for responsible redistribution of water. There is also waste pipe and fitting in stock allowing you to make final connections to the drainage system.

At a roof level we keep in stock guttering and downpipe from Polypipe and also have an assortment of accessories to compliment this range. We also have access to a wide range of more bespoke metal guttering systems too.

External Finishes

This is the bit that you see and we have a whole range of different finishing options. Whether it be external silicone render system from K Rend to something more bespoke like a timber cladding we can get this for you. We keep in stock the K Rend Silicone external render system which can be used on either masonry and insulation.

At a roof level we keep in stock UPVC soffits and fascia’s and we supply the composite cladding and fibre cement cladding systems from leading manufacturers such as James Hardie and Cedral

Reinforced

Reinforcement is what gives the build its strength. In stock we keep a range of different meshes an bars for you concrete slabs whether it be for a driveway, ground floor of a building of a patio. In addition to this we are able to get hold of cut and bent reinforcement for your project.

Reinforcement doesn’t stop in the ground we also keep in stock reinforcement solutions for your rendering whether be metal mesh or a glass fibre mesh we have you sorted.
